Wilms' tumour ( NEPHROBLASTOMA )
Definition :
Wilms' tomor is commonly seen in kids from ages 3 to 4 and tends to occur less frequently after the age of 5. The most common kidney cancer in children is wilms' tumor.
Signs & Symptoms of Willms' tumor :
1. Swelling in the abdomen
2. Pain in the abdomen
3. Mass in the abdomen which can be felt
4. Fever
4. Hematuria or blood in the urine ( Advanced Stage III or Stage IV tumor )
5. Pallor
6. Hypertension
7. Superficial venous engorgement may present
8. Increasing abdominal girth

Examination Findings :
- Large, smooth, fixed, firmed, nontender palpable mass detected in the flank.
Diagnostic Evaluation :
- X-ray abdomen
- X-ray Chest
- IVP
- USG
- CT Scan
- MRI
- Renal Function Test ( RpII )
- Liver Function Test ( LFT )
- Urine analysis
- Bone marrow study
