INTRODUCTION

          Emergency Medicine department is the frontline area of the hospital. It provide rapid treatment for community members who experience sudden illness or trauma, Operating without interruption. Emergency Departments are staffed by team of experts specializing in emergency medicine.

          Emergency department exists to provide initial treatment of serious illness and injuries,  some of which may be life threatening and requiring immediate attention. After initial assessment and treatment, patients are admitted to the hospital, transferred to a specialty hospital or discharged.

MISSION :
     Provide Appropriate and rapid triage, focused assessment and interventions for all patients per the clinical need.
Demonstrate compassion, empathy and warmth while delivering the clinical care.

Location :
          The Emergency Department is located on the main level of third block. Patient can enter the department through their own dedicated Emergency entrance. Parking is available adjacent to Emergency.
          In emergency room total no of stretchers 3 and wheel chairs 3.

STAFF :
There are the 5 members in the emergency department. In Each shift
·       One CMO ( Casuality Medical Officer )
·       One Incharge Nurse
·       One Shift Incharge Nurse
·       Two Staff Nurse
·       One Technician

SHIFT TIMINGS :
          Emergency department rounds for 24X7 which is categorized into 3 shift timings.
Morning shift : 8AM – 2PM
    Evening shift  : 2PM – 8PM
    Night shift      :  8PM – 8AM

BED STRENGTH : 

There are total of 4 beds in emergency department.
The Nurse patient ratio is 1:2.

PATIENT IN FLOW :

The average number of emergency cases per day is 15 – 25 patients.

Ventilator 
      Defibrillator  
   ECG machine
   ECHO machine 
      Ambu bag 
      Spignomanometer 
      Intubation tray. 
      Emergency Medicine tray

AMBULANCE SERVICES : 

The ambulance services are provided around 24/7 the clock.
     There is a only one ambulance available it is well equipped with Oxygen cylinde
     Cardiac Monitor, ACLS ( Advanced Cardiac Life Support ) equipment’s per the guidelines.
