Axillary group of lymph nodes
- These are 20 – 30 in number.
- Present in the axilla.
- These are divided int 5 groups.
1. Apical.
2. Cental.
3. Posterior.
4. Anterior.
5. Lateral.
- They receive lymph from the entire upper limb, mammary gland and skin covering the back of the trunk.
Applied Anatomy :
- These lymph nodes are enlarged in infections of the upper limb carcinoma in the breast.
